Getting Started

What's Included:

VoIP of North America (ATA) Broadband Phone Adapter¹

Ethernet Cable

AC Power Adapter

Equipment you will need:

Broadband Connection (DSL, Cable or other high-speed Internet connection) at least 100-128 kbps of bandwidth, although our service can work with as low as 32kbps

Fixed, Cordless or Touchtone Phone

Router (If you want to share your Internet connection with other equipment or computers)

Note: If you ordered VoIP-NA ATA you will receive a Linksys (Sipura) 2100 adapter that has a built in one port router.

Installation:

Remove the phone adapter (ATA) from the shipping box.

Turn off the power to all devices including your Cable/DSL modem and Router.

Insert one end of Ethernet cable into the LAN port of the adapter.

Note: Insert the Ethernet cable into the WAN port of adapter and connect your computer to its LAN port (If needed.).

Connect the other end of the cable to your DSL/Cable Modem.

Note: If you have a Router and DHCP enabled on it, you should connect the Ethernet Cable to its LAN port.

Insert the telephone cable into phone port (1) of the ATA device.

Connect the telephone cable to your touchtone telephone.

Turn the power on the Cable/DSL modem (wait 1 minute).

Connect the AC power adapter (power-up) to the ATA device.

Wait; The green STATUS Light on the back of your ATA device will blink for up to 1 minute. Once the light stops blinking and remains on, you are ready to start making calls.


¹ If you did not purchase the adapter from us then it will need to be unlocked and you need to have admin access.
